For several years, public access to Martin's Beach (just south of Half Moon Bay, California) has been prohibited. The owner of the coastal property through which access used to be allowed decided to put up a gate to keep out the public. After a long legal battle and a ruling in the public's favor, access to Martin's Beach has been restored. Since there are certain to be appeals to the ruling, I have been traveling to Martin's Beach as often as possible to capture its beauty and wildlife while I still can.
